Change - Clarification - Actualization Process

Attention

In his book, The Experience of Insight, Joseph Goldstein states that, "Bare attention means observing things as they are, without evaluating, without choosing, without comparing, without laying our projections and expectations on to what is happening; cultivating instead a choiceless and non- interfering awareness.”

In today’s fast-paced world, multi-tasking is not only acceptable but, quite frankly, expected of us. We grind through life mindlessly without conscious awareness or intention. We at KLH Associates are very thrilled that you have chosen to slow the pace and examine whether the path you are on is the path that will lead you to self-fulfillment of your hopes and dreams.

Reflection:

Am I short-changing my family in hopes of making it up in the future?

Am I putting off making important changes with the hope of getting to it later?

Am I reserving a date in the future for my happiness?

Are there things I achieved to make me happy, but they did not bring the anticipated joy?

Is my work life built on my assets or my dreams?

What is preventing me from living the life I dreamed of?

Mindfulness trainings are the guidelines for how to live our daily lives in a way that nourishes happiness and transforms ill-being. (No Mud, No Lotus; Thich Nhat Hanh)

Exercises:

  1. Complete a mind-Map: In the center of the map place "my happiness."

  2.  Cultivate a Mindfulness Lifestyle:
